Do you include invoices in orders?

○ I do not include invoices in orders unless specifically requested.

○ I am happy to provide a paper and/or digital invoice upon request. (Paper invoices must be requested at the time of ordering)

Do you offer gift-wrapping?

○ All orders come 'gift-wrapped' in funky eco-conscious packaging because I think even if you're buying something for yourself, it should feel like a present when it arrives!

○ However, if you have any specific requests or requirements for your order just pop me an email and I'll see what I can do to accommodate! (If you're emailing me after placing your order please quote your name and order number along with any additional information I may need so I can match your request up to your order!) 

○ If the item is a gift, you can always purchase a greeting card from my shop and add a note for me to hand-write a message of your choice inside if you'd like the gift sent directly to the lucky recipient!

Is Hattieshake packaging eco-friendly?

○ All packaging is recyclable and/or bio-degradable, even the sleeves the prints come in are actually made of potato starch! They will break down naturally on their own, though the process is sped up if you are able to pop them in the compost!

○ Little Critter boxes are made of recycled cardboard and can be recycled again.

○ Ceramic pieces are generally wrapped in honey-comb wrap (a paper alternative to bubble wrap!) However, whenever I receive bubblewrap I save it and re-use it in orders where needed! So if you receive bubble-wrap in your order, it's because it has been recycled/re-used, I encourage you to re-use it too if possible! :-)

○ I pad out fragile orders with colourful packing peanuts to ensure everything arrives safely, these are biodegradable (also made of potato starch!) and will actually break down completely if you pour warm water over them!

Why is my ceramic piece not identical to the one in the picture?

○ Every ceramic piece I create is entirely made by hand- so there may be slight differences between the item pictured online and the one you receive. (Unless of course the piece is a one-off!)

○ Items may potentially have very minor flaws due to the nature of their making (I'm only human!) but this adds to their charm and further illustrates that each item is an entirely unique one-off (Nobody else has a piece just the same as yours!!)

○ Colours may vary slightly from those shown on your screen

○ If you're looking for machine perfect mass-produced pieces, you're very much in the wrong place I'm afraid!

What items cannot be shipped together? (Please read!)

○ Ceramic pieces and prints cannot be shipped together and so will be shipped separately, incurring separate delivery costs. This is simply because to ship them together would take a stupidly big box and the shipping cost of said stupidly big box would be even more than shipping them separately.

○ Please bare this in mind when placing your order.

Where possible I will always post items together to ensure postage is as cheap as possible, if I am able to combine shipping and it is cheaper than what you paid I will refund the difference.
(eg. If purchasing greeting cards/postcards/stickers etc and certain small clay items, if I can ship these together as a small parcel, I will refund you the seperate delivery cost for the paper goods)

Why have I been charged so much for shipping?

Shopify like to make shipping really complicated and items from different postage categories are added together instead of just charging the actual rate, the maximum you will be charged for shipping is £3.50 (and that's for heavy/lots of stuff) if you are charged more, please know I will refund the difference ASAP!

What are my delivery options?

○ I send everything via Royal Mail, I offer Tracked 48 shipping on all ceramic pieces and second class shipping on paper goods.

○ Please note that if you haven't selected tracked shipping at checkout I won't be able to locate your order once it has been posted!

○ If you have any issues with your order however, please get in contact with me via the email below and I will get it resolved!

How quickly do you post orders?

○ I pack and post orders Monday - Friday

○ I aim to post orders within 3 working days of ordering, but please allow longer after a shop update- this is to accomodate high volumes of orders and the fact Hattieshake is very much a one woman operation.

○ That being said I often get orders posted out earlier than this and if you're needing your order in a rush or for a specific date please pop me an email and if I am able to accomodate your needs I absolutely will.

How do you set your shipping prices?

○ I base my postage prices on the Royal Mail online prices, all rates are currently set in relation to their current prices and update in accordance with their website.

○ I currently only offer Tracked 48 shipping for my ceramic goods because it's less than 30p more expensive than sending them 2nd class (make it make sense), but with Tracked 48 you'll get your orders far more quickly and be able to track them the whole way to your door!

Can I send a gift direct to recipient?

Absolutely!

○ I don't include any invoices or payment details in orders.

○ If you purchase a greeting card or postcard, I am happy to hand write a message of your choice to include in the order- just leave a note on your order or send me an email with the details! (Please quote your name and order number if sending an email)

○ P.S. Don't worry- I have very neat hand-writing!

Do you offer international shipping?

○ I have previously trialled international shipping, however at this moment in time I am only offering shipping within the UK.

○ There are some upcoming changes to EU regulations when it comes to shipping from abroad that are coming into effect in early December. Due to this I am holding off until I have a better understanding of the changes and will hopefully be offering international shipping again in the new year.

○ Due to the above and the high cost of international shipping, I am currently looking into international stockists so I can offer my products at a much more affordable cost to my overseas pals! More on this soon hopefully!
